Caretakers of the Meeting are usually a couple selected to maintain all the ongoing weekly needs of the meeting house. They live in the building, act as the liaison to the public for the meeting and buffer all of the many small emergencies that any century old building will encounter. Officers of the Meeting include Presiding clerk, Assistant presiding clerk, Treasurer, and four other individuals who constitute the Records Committee: the Recording Clerk, Statistician who keeps records of memberships and marriages, the Archivist who maintains other Meeting records, and the Web Page Clerk who maintains our Meeting's information on the World Wide Web.
Local Representative,
Resource, and Contact Persons serve
on behalf of the meeting to local Quaker bodies, e.g., Representatives to Quarterly
Meeting, other sister Quaker meetings and other local church groups such as the Metropolitan Area
Religious Coalition of Cincinnati (MARCC) and the Council of Christian
Communions (CCC), two local ecumenical groups.
Wider Area Representative, Resource, and Contact Persons serve on behalf of the meeting to wider Quaker bodies, e.g., International Sessions of Quakers Worldwide, Friends General Conference Committees and Ohio Valley Yearly Meeting Committees with the occasional staff person for these organizations. J.J. Cannon Fund Trustees (one appointed annually for a three year term) oversee the policies, investment and disbursement of income from the Meeting's trust fund for promoting spiritual growth, peace and social justice. Long
